Steven P. Mars, Principal
Steven has more than 10 years of experience in the financial service industry working for RIAs, broker dealers, and Advent® software providers. He has helped hundreds of Advent software customers implement, integrate, migrate, upgrade, and customize their portfolio management suite and business processes.
Starting as a trading assistant and network manager, Mr. Mars has progressed through a variety of positions, including portfolio administrator, portfolio servicing supervisor, director of operations, and director of information technology. During his tenure of almost 5 years with Advent software, he rapidly progressed to the top consulting position, where he worked to solve ongoing problems impeding successful implementations.
Sean Dean, Principal
Sean also has more than 10 years of experience in the financial service industry, first working in support for T. Rowe Price in Baltimore. Following his support experience, Sean worked as a head trader and assistant portfolio manager for boutique securities firm Global Strategic Management. After leaving Global Strategic, Sean went to work for Advent and, like Steve, rose quickly to the level of Senior Consultant.
As a Senior Advent Consultant for almost 5 years, Sean was involved with some of the largest and most complex implementations at Advent to date. Conversely, he has helped numerous "mom and pop" start-up businesses navigate the complex world of straight-through-processing.
Bill Navarro, Principal
Continuing the trend, Bill has more than 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, beginning with a statement processing role with the investment management firm of Reich & Tang Asset Management in New York. Staying with that firm for more than 6 years, Bill moved through a variety of positions, which included portfolio administrator and manager of portfolio operations.

After leaving Reich & Tang Asset Management, Bill began his tenure of 3 years with Advent Software, rising to the level of Senior Consultant. During that time, Bill was an integral part of Advent's expansion into the South and Central American bank/trust market.
He also worked with hundreds of domestic bank/trusts, RIAs, and family offices, aligning business operations with new systems and overseeing the integration of new trading, reconciliation, systems maintenance, and performance units.
Jeff Harvey, Director of Outsourcing Solutions
Jeff has more than 11 years of experience in asset management, brokerage, and custodial banking operations in front, middle, and back office roles. He started his career as an Operations Specialist in the coupon and dividends department and DTC settlements group at Bankers Trust in New York.
Following this experience, Jeff moved on to Trading Assistant and P&L Analyst roles on the Municipal and high-grade fixed income desk at Lehman Brothers in New York before becoming VP and Director of Operations for Forstmann-Leff Associates in New York.
Jeff spent more than 4 years in this position managing trade support, allocations, settlements, new accounts, and wrap trading. Finally, prior to joining MD Solutions, he spent 2 years with Polen Capital Management in Boca Raton, Florida, as operations manager responsible for all aspects of operations, including new accounts, client servicing, portfolio accounting, IT, performance, quarterly reporting, and some compliance functions.
